The first pair of Aurelia Socks I knit were short. I wanted a taller pair, so I started over with the pattern using a different yarn. This time I opted for some Koigu that I had in my stash. Unfortunately, the pattern (that I wrote - I should have known better) called for ~210 yds for each sock, and the Koigu is only 175 yds. Despite my best optimism, I ran out of yarn before I could finish the toe, so I had to resort to using a complementary color for the toe. Oops. Live and learn.
