No knitting for Liz

So guess what I did today? I broke my arm. In two places. It was so stupid. They buff the hell out of the floors at work, and I wasn’t being cautious enough today. I slipped, fell, landed on my right elbow, and injured it in the process. I’ve got a spiral fracture in the elbow and a hairline fracture above the wrist. It HURTS. A lot.

And what’s worst? I can’t even knit or spin while I’m out of commission. :( This really bites.

Anyway, typing one-handed while trying to keep the right arm immobilized sucks, so I’m gonna end this here. I just wanted to gripe a little and share the news.

*sigh*

  1. Oh no! I hope your healing process goes quickly, and that the pain leaves you soon. I suspect you’ll be back in commission soon enough; in the meantime be gentle with yourself.

  2. OH NO!! I’m so sorry. Heal fast!

  3. Oh no! I had almost the exact same injury to my left arm several years ago. It really is a pain in the butt. Take care of yourself, and hopefully you’ll heal soon. (Knitting was great motivation to stick to the physical therapy for me.) And maybe you can learn to crochet with your left hand…

  4. So Sorry to hear that you took a fall. Tell your boss to go easy on you. I broke mine the same way years ago and it does hurt and alot of physical therapy…Ted was actually a baby and a neighbor,(Mrs.Jackson) had to change his diapers…Heal fast and follow your PT’s advice. Linda Seward
