I dyed and went to secret pal heaven

It’s late, and I really ought to be in bed already, but since I’m in the middle of waiting on a load of laundry to finish so I can throw it into the dryer, I figured I might as well take a few moments to write a quick post.

These past two days have been the most fibery of the last several dozen days. And really, that’s not saying a whole lot. Because in the end, I still didn’t do any knitting or spinning. I did, however, as promised, do some dyeing. I won’t say too much about it, since these are destined to become gifts at some point down the road, but… after so many posts about my new job this and my new job that, I owe you guys some yarn porn.

Some blueish-green hand-dyed merino-silk fingering weight

I also received my final SP10 package this Saturday. Yay for awesome pacakges and awesome secret pals!

My final SP10 package!

This package was overflowing with goodies:

  1. Two bars of milk chocolate
  2. A mini sock blocker, which includes a pattern for mini socks
  3. 3 bags of hot cocoa mix (various flavors)
  4. A Boye needle and stitch gauge
  5. A bag of several mini-squares of chocolate
  6. A felted bracelet kit with several different-colored skeins of worsted-weight yarn
  7. A box of Tazo Zen green tea (Mmmm!)
  8. A skein of Sunshine Yarns hand-dyed sock yarn
  9. A skein of Peaches & Cream worsted weight cotton
  10. A hand-knit washcloth (it’s gorgeous!)
  11. A tin of beeswax hand lotion (it smells and feels so good!)
  12. A bar of goat’s milk and honey soap
  13. 2 little squares of really, really good dark chocolate

I’d say that’s a pretty awesome haul, wouldn’t you? My secret pal rocks rocks rocks!

Ok, laundry’s just about done, so… time for me to throw that in the dryer and hit the sack.
