Eye Candy Friday
I haven’t been very good about posting eye candy, so I thought I’d give it a shot again today. Now, I’m a smoker, but I’m not one to glorify it or try to get others to pick up the habit - it’s a nasty habit, and I ought to quit. Still, I can’t help but love my lighters. They’re these new line of Bics that are shorter and slimmer than the regular-sized ones and are covered in these awesome geometric designs and bright colors. They’re obviously targeted to young females. Which I guess I happen to be, so go figure that I own three of them.

More on Sahara
I ended up not finishing Sahara before I photographed it again. Looking at it more closely in the daylight, I realized that that stripe at the bottom of the sweater is very obvious. And to make it worse, it’s right across the widest part of my middle. Boo hiss. The neckline and the right sleeve are also knit from this lighter skein of yarn, and while it doesn’t bother me on the neckline at all, the sleeve and the bottom are driving me crazy now that I know they’re different. Luckily, the fourth skein, which I used for the left sleeve, is the same shade as the rest of the body, and I’ve got tons of it left. So, while it pains me a great deal to say it, I’ve decided to rip back past the yarn change on the bottom and rip out the right sleeve, and reknit those sections using skein #4. I thought I was done… and it makes me want to cry when I realize I’m not. Oh well. Dem’s da breaks, eh?

Now I’m feeling at a loss for what to knit. I need to gie Sahara a rest for a day or two - I can’t bring myself to rip out so much of it just yet. I’ve certainly got some projects to work on - my Fleece Artist socks, my Sockapalooza pal’s socks, my SP10 pal’s gloves… But none of them are inspiring me at the moment. I guess I’ll just trudge through them, and hopefully some inspiration will hit me shortly.
