let’s see how quickly I can post this
My entire schedule is jumbled today, but I didn’t want to leave these photos unshared any longer. I have a badly needed hair appointment in 30 minutes, so I’ll be brief.
We have a dear friend who lives in Nashville and at 42, finds herself pregnant with her third child. At first she was stunned, then amazed that this could happen to her at this time in her life, and now, although she professes to be scared, she looks radiant; jubilant even. My friend Helen and I went to a baby shower for her on Sunday. It’s been a long time since I’ve attended one, and I have to say that this was the most emotional and joyful thing I’ve done in a long time.

The happy parents, Adrienne and Obie

Helen made the cutest hat and booties

This sweater has waited for a long time for just the right baby
The sweater I made is a pattern from Kim Salazar, called the Taco Coat. I used leftovers of Dale Baby Ull. Okay, now I’ve gotta run.
