Walk with me Wednesday
Every morning we do the same thing. Put on our leashes and take a walk around the neighborhood. Can you see Callie the black lab?
She waits patiently in her yard as long as she can stand it, and then bounds down the street to greet us.
We check each other out, visit for a little bit, and then head on down the street to finish our walk. Last week, everything was pink. This week white is the predominant color.
I love how the dogwoods seem to glow in their whiteness. As we ended our walk, I came upon the first iris of the season. Yesterday this was but a mere bud, today it’s almost open. Tomorrow it’ll be a blaze of purple and gold.
Knitting? What’s that? I’m still keeping my hands busy with the black garter stitch cardi, and am almost to the armholes on the back. Still not photoworthy. I’m also still spinning away on my Hello Yarn Blows Smoke merino. It was so lovely out yesterday afternoon that the dogs and I sat on the porch for a couple of hours, snapping at flies (that would be the dogs) and spinning (that would be me). I’ve finished the first bobbin and am working on the second.

This is the season when I miss Huntsville the most.
Ah, and Callie’s gotten so big! I remember when she was the size of Rusty!
