I have a whole weekend off! No kidding. I haven’t had one of those in a while. To celebrate, I began spinning one of these that I’d bought in Montana last year. It’s 18 different layers of wool and wool blends, about a quarter of an ounce each. I split each color in half, spinning up one half and saving the other half for a second bobbin, so I can ply the colors together in the order in which they were spun. I couldn’t wait to spin the whole batch, so I plied the first five colors together yesterday, and today I’m knitting.

This is Argosy from the latest issue of Knitty, and I’m loving it. Now I can go back to spinning the rest of it, so I won’t run out of yarn.
