Mountain Goat redux
After yesterday’s photograph of the BJ Bass Mountain Goat swatch was taken, I washed it, and laid it out to dry. I thought about it a lot during the day, mostly worrying that the shape I’m intending for this sweater would end up looking like this. Not a good thing for our Bassman.

So I searched anew for design ideas. I suggested a cardigan and Bass thought that would be okay. Now we’re trying a pattern from the gift issue of Interweave Knits, which I think might work.
Sorry, no picture. My camera has Alzheimer’s. It started Sunday while I was snapping pix at the Knit-In. I’d try to turn the camera on and it’d click at me and present the set-up screen, instead of poke it’s little lens out at me. I got one or two more pictures out of it, but today when I went to photograph the new swatch, nothing. This camera has served me well, and I hate to give it up, but I’m afraid it may just be too old to fix.
It was so cold and dank last night, I convinced Bass that we should go have nabeyaki udon at Miyako. He didn’t have big band rehearsal, so he agreed. We were lucky to get there when we did. Monday night is dollar sushi night at Miyako, and 10 minutes after we were seated, the place exploded with people. Most of them were very young, in the 16 to 20 range. We just sat and slurped our noodles and felt full and warm when we finally left.
Today is my day off, and I’m going to revel in it. Maybe I’ll even go out and buy a new camera!

That’s almost exactly what happened to my old Nikon when we were at camp this June. It’d turn on, but the lens wouldn’t come out. And then it just stopped turning on. It, too, had served me well. But for what it’s worth, I adore my new camera. :) You might like it, too. :)
